Sergey Puskepalis - Russian actor and Director of theater and cinema. Artistic Director of the Yaroslavl drama theater named after F. Volkov. Honored artist of the Russian Federation. He graduated from the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts in Moscow in 2001, where he studied under Pyotr Fomenko. He has previously served as a theatre director at Samara's Ponedelnik Theatre, as chief director at the Magnitogorsk Drama Theatre, as director at the Moscow Theatre Studio under Oleg Tabakov and as deputy artistic director of the Gorky Moscow Art Theatre. He has acted in such films as How I Ended This Summer (2010) (Silver Bear for Best Actor at the Berlin Film Festival), Metro (2012), The Battle for Sevastopol (2015), The Icebreaker (2016), Serdtse Parmy (2019) and many others. The 2015 Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival saw the premiere of his film Clinch, which Puskepalis directed.
