The majestic Changbai Mountains stretch far away, hiding in a huge forest and on a plateau. It is a rich and sacred land that nourishes countless creatures, and the four seasons change and last forever. A squirrel-mom has three little pups that need to be fed. She gathers food for the winter in late autumn. When the cold winter comes, squirrel-mom stubbornly chases a pine cone, despite the blizzard, in the sake of her children. She faints because of the cold, and the Amur tiger notices her while on his watch. A warm spring breeze blows, everything comes to life once again. And little squirrels and their mom happily play in the forest.

In 1984, Shi Guojuan graduated from the department of Fine Arts of the Jilin Institute of Arts with a degree in Chinese painting. Previously, she was the director of the Art Studio of the Changchun Film Studio, and now she is the deputy dean, professor and supervisor of undergraduates at the Animation Faculty of the Jilin Institute of Arts. She is a member of the Union of Artists of China, a member of the Third Animation Art Committee of the Union of Artists of China, a member of the Union of Chinese Women Artists and a board member of the Union of Artists of Jilin Province.
