Born in Samara in 1961, graduated from school No. 120, 3 years of the Kuibyshev Aviation Institute, in 1981 moved to Vladivostok, where he worked at TINRO, studied in absentia at the Faculty of Biology of the Far Eastern State University. Subsequently, he worked as an artist, photographer, taught music in the guitar class. Since school, he was fond of cinematography, shot amateur film and digital films, as well as participated in professional film projects.
