George, Dimitry, and Anastasia sneak off while on a tour of the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius. They find a magical portal in one of the monastery's towers and get transported back in time. Finding themselves in the times of the Mongol rule, the children begin their arduous journey home. They witness historical events along the way and learn about the life of St. Sergius of Radonezh, the miracle worker.

DIRECTOR'S BIOGRAPHY:
Andrey Kolpin was born in Moscow on 5 February 1964. As a director, he has collaborated with many Russian and foreign studios. He is a member of the Creative Union of Artists and the Russian Union of Cinematographers. Since 2017, he has been the production director at Parovoz Animation Studio.
