In 1989 he graduated from the State Music College of the Gnessin, in 1996 - Higher Directing courses at ROSKOMKINO (the workshop of a feature film by Mikhail Tumanishvili, Vladimir Akimov). Head of the Russian Way Film Studio. Member of the Board of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia, corresponding member of the National Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences of Russia, member of the Union of Writers of Russia, winner of the National Prize "Golden Eagle"
