SUBMISSIONS FOR THE V ARCTIC INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
"GOLDEN RAVEN" ARE NOW OPEN

Submissions to the Arctic International Film Festival "Golden Raven", which will be held from March 19 to March 29 in the city of Anadyr are announced to open.

The "Golden Raven" Film Festival is the largest film festival taking place in the Far North of Russia and a unique opportunity to visit this part of the Earth and to get acquainted with the amazing hospitality of people living there. The special feature of the festival is that the winner of the Grand Prix of the film festival is determined by the people's choice, and famous filmmakers from all over the world fly to the capital of Chukotka to award the jury prizes. The festival will celebrate its first anniversary next year.

"In 2021 it will be our fifth film festival. It is developing, it is very lively and dynamic. One of the indicators of this could be the fact that starting from the next film festival we decided to combine the competition of full-length feature and documentary films, as far as very often the border between these types of cinema is blurred. Today feature films are filmed as documentary films and vice versa! Therefore, we decided that it would be right to combine the two international competitions into the one"said Philip Abryutin, artistic director of the film festival.

"Then it turned out that the previous festival became the last one before the quarantine, not only in the Far North, but throughout the country. Together with colleagues, we worried about the entire film industry and we hope that everything will be restored soon. For our part, we will take all necessary measures. So, we plan to continue expanding the number of film festival participants, looking for foreign partners, but the most important task is to attract attention to Chukotka as a unique place not only to watch movies, but also to create films, "added the festival producer Oksana Lakhno.
