Tanya was brought up by her grandparents, who were Khanty people. Life in the forest replaced school for her. Now Tanya, her husband and three children live alone in the taiga. Tanya teaches her children to hunt, to speak the language of the forest, to understand the animals. But her children seem to live by completely different laws.

DIRECTOR'S BIOGRAPHY:
Alexander graduated from the Faculty of Directing and Producing at the St. Petersburg State University of Culture and Arts in 1997. Since 1992, he has worked as an assistant cameraman and assistant director at the St. Petersburg Documentary Film Studio. Since 1998 he has been working as a director on central all-Russian channels. He has made more than one hundred documentaries and television programs.
