The former bunker captain, disabled, warms himself with an old reflector. He found the only interlocutor in the face of a parrot named Pinagor. The parrot learns the caustic words of his grandfather and, with his usual sarcasm, turns them in in their conversations with the old man. The daughter is not very kind to the elderly father, but quietly wants to replace the old reflector with a fireplace, but the grandfather, thinking that a fire has started, disables it. A grouchy but intelligent bird becomes attached to an old man and saves his life from a fire. The former captain is filled with gratitude for the parrot, but Pinagor returns his captain's curses to his grandfather.
