The IX Arctic International Film Festival «Golden Raven» opens call for applications for participation in competition programs. You can apply from July 15, 2024 to December 20, 2024 on the official website of the festival. In 2025, the IX Arctic International Film Festival «Golden Raven» will be held from 07 to 20 April 2025 in Chukotka.

The festival's uniqueness is that the winner is chosen by the audience, who come to the screenings every year with great interest to get acquainted with new auteur cinema from all over the world. As in previous years, the 9th Golden Raven in 2025 will once again show vivid Russian and foreign films, one way or another exploring the topic of the Far North and the Arctic - in stories about the amazing nature, everyday life, traditions and unique people of this area," says the artistic director of the festival "Golden Raven" Philip Abryutin.
Applications are accepted according to the following competition programs:
1. International competition of full-length feature and documentary films with a duration of 52 minutes or more, created no earlier than January 01, 2023, are accepted for consideration.;
2. International short feature film competition – films of less than 52 minutes in length, created no earlier than January 01, 2023, are accepted for consideration.;
3. International competition of short documentary films - documentary films with a duration of less than 52 minutes, created no earlier than January 01, 2023, are accepted for consideration.;
4. International animated short film competition – films with a running time of less than 52 minutes, created no earlier than January 01, 2023, are accepted for consideration.;
5. Interregional competition "FilmRising!" – short fiction and non-fiction films with a running time of less than 52 minutes created by authors of the regions of the North, Siberia and the Far East in the territory of residence: regions of the North, Siberia and the Far East no earlier than January 01, 2023 are accepted for consideration.
Films that have not previously participated in the Festival are accepted into the competition programs.

"Golden Raven" is one of the largest international cultural events in the Far North and the Arctic of Russia. In 2024, it was held from April 15 to April 28 in the city of Anadyr. The winner of the Grand Prix by the decision of the audience was the Yakut film "Where the White Cranes Dance" by Mikhail Lukachevsky, the professional jury made its choice in favor of the film by Kazakh director Adilkhan Yerzhanov "Ademoka's education".

The Arctic International Film Festival "Golden Raven" is held by the Center for the Development and Support of Cultural Projects "Golden Raven", the Production Center "Youth Initiatives", with the support of the Governor of the Chukotka Autonomous District, the Government of the Chukotka Autonomous District, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives, the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Chukotka Autonomous District, Okrkinovideoprokat (k/t "Polar"), the Union of Cinematographers of Russia. The events of the film festival are implemented within the framework of the National project "Culture".
