This film is about the contribution of the indigenous people of Yamal to the victory in the Great Patriotic War, about the trials that they went through along with the whole country. The action takes place during the war years in the Shuryshkarsky region, Yamalo–Nenets Autonomous District and is based on real events. The Khartaganovs' family in the 30s-40s of the last century raised up seven children of different ages and nationalities who were left without parents. It is not only the the theme of deprivation and war is passed through the film but the theme of social orphan hood during the years of repression.

Director's biography:
Was born on June 22, 1962 in the Kushevat settlement. The place is located in Shuryshkarsky District of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District of the Tyumen Region. She studied at Gorkovskaya secondary school.
Zinaida Viktorovna graduated from the Salekhard Pedagogical School with a specialty «Primary School Teacher» in 1983.
She graduated from St. Petersburg University, named after A. Herzen with specialties «Culturologist» and «History Teacher» in 2000
Now Zinaida Viktorovna is working at OGTRK Yamal-Region, as a senior editor of the office for the affairs of the peoples of the north (RPNS).
The books «Monsyan Moov. The Land of Fairy Tales», essays «The Teacher of the North», the story «At the blue-water Ob», «Sun glare of bark», «At the fish river, on deer land», «Imi Khily», «Ovas muvem schashty syyt», the story «Khon Yush. The way from the Ob» were published with the support of the Department of Indigenous Minorities.
Zinaida Viktorovna is a laureate of many international, Russian, district TV and literary contests for books and documentaries, which has been created since 1990 until 2018.
Zinaida Viktorovna is active in the social movements of the district.
