The film describes the life and culture of the indigenous people of the Far East - the Nanai. Their traditions, based on fishing and hunting, are passed down from generation to generation. However, the continuity and cultural succession are jeopardized by young people leaving their native places. The movie tells about the lifestyle of the Nanai people through observation of their everyday life. Special attention is paid to the connection of the Nanai to the Amur River, their fishing and hunting. The film shows national costumes, dances, belief in shamanism. It encourages to appreciate cultural heritage and strengthen the link between generations.
