Boris Krasovsky, Vladimir's father, a White Guard officer originally from Yekaterinburg, was evacuated from Crimea to Istanbul after the defeat of the "White" Army in 1920 and, by the will of fate, remains there forever... Part of the family remained in Russia, the connection between relatives was cut off for 98 years. All his life, Vladimir Krasovsky was eager to return to Russia, which he knew only from his father's stories.
