"Water Boy" is a social drama taking place in a fishing village on the shore of the largest reservoir in Tajikistan. Recently, nature has been bringing down one disaster after another on the village. Along with this, modern trends in communication with each other are also changing the traditional way of life of its inhabitants. These changes are overseen by Grandfather Barakat, the oldest and most respected person in the village. Having abandoned his fruitless attempts to reason with his fellow villagers, he is in the world of his loneliness, and in the outside world communicates only with the neighbor boy Ramses - the only son of the Safar and Salima family. One day a film crew of a feature film arrives in their village and for a while changes the way of life of the whole village…
