The 5th Golden Raven Arctic International Film Festival Program finalized
On October 23, 2021, the 5th Golden Raven Arctic International Film Festival program was finalized. The festival is listed in the Program of Russia's Chairmanship in the Arctic Council in 2021-2023.

The film festival events will be held at the venues of the Heritage of Chukotka Museum Center, the Anadyr Children and Youth Activity Center, and the Polyarny Cinema.

Heritage of Chukotka Museum Center Venue

On October 4-10, the Education Hall of the Heritage of Chukotka Museum Center will be hosting special screenings of documentaries, feature films, and animation. On weekdays, the screenings are scheduled from 6:00 to 7:45 p.m., on weekends – from 10:00 to 12:00 a.m. and from 6:00 to 7:45 p.m.

On October 12-15, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m., the Museum also will be hosting masterclasses in cinematography. The following speakers are featured:
- Ella MANZHEEVA – a Russian film director;
- Sergei LAVRENTIEV – a Soviet and Russian film scholar, film critic, and teacher. Member of the Nika Russian Academy of Cinema Arts and Science, Member of the Russian Oscar Committee (2002-2012), Programming & Artistic Director of the Cheboksary International Film Festival;
- Yuri BYKOV – a Russian film director, screenwriter, composer, producer, and actor;
- Susanna ALPERINA – a Russian film scholar, film critic, journalist and writer, producer, Programming Director of the Chitka Film Adaptations Festival, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor, Member of the Russian Union of Journalists.

Not all film festivals have the opportunity to provide a platform for sharing experiences of film industry development. The Golden Raven film festival will provide such an opportunity for speakers from the Murmansk Region, the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), the Arkhangelsk Region, and the Chukotka Autonomous District as part of the Cinema in the Arctic: Experience of Russian Regions event. The event will take place at the Museum on October 17 (1:00-2:30 p.m.).

Polyarny Cinema Venue

October 11-17 will see a busy film agenda of the Golden Raven Festival, hosted by the Polyarny Cinema.

Special screenings will continue at the Polyarny Cinema (from 10:00 a.m. to noon). The special screenings will be featuring Retrospective Program for the first time. The filmgoer experience will be enhanced by discussing and learning the story behind each film. Q&A sessions will be hosted by a film expert Alexander POZDNYAKOV (Lenfilm Studio), Olga AGRAFENINA, daughter of the Chief of Chukotka (1967) director Vitaly Melnikov (Lenfilm Studio), directors Valentin MAKAROV and Mikhail LUKACHEVSKY, Artistic Director of the Festival Filipp ABRYUTIN, Programming Director of the Festival Alexander SOLOMONOV, and Producer of the Festival Oksana LAKHNO.

From 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., the Polyarny Cinema will be screening short documentaries and feature films of the competition program.

The daily competition program of full-length documentary and feature films will start after the Grand Opening Ceremony of the Golden Raven Film Festival on October 11 (7:00-11:00 p.m.).

A true cultural highlight will be an open lecture and a master class by Anton DOLIN, an acclaimed Russian journalist, film critic, media personality, and Editor-in-Chief of the Isskustvo kino film magazine. The event will take place on October 12 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The Grand Closing Ceremony of the Golden Raven Film Festival and the Award Ceremony are scheduled for Sunday (October 17, 7:00-11:00 p.m.).

Anadyr Children and Youth Activity Center Venue

In addition to promoting film art, the festival advocates a healthy lifestyle. As usual, all the sports enthusiasts will have an opportunity to attend open training sessions. This year's Festival guest will be Alexei IVANOV, a Russian MMA fighter, multiple Champion of Russia in combat sambo, multiple World Champion, Honored Master of Sports, World Class Athlete in sambo and jiu-jitsu, Master of Sports in combined martial arts and judo. Two open training sessions will be held in the Children and Youth Activity Center gym on October 9 and 10 (from 10:00 a.m. till noon).
